How to Create a Welcoming Guest Room

There is something special about opening your home to family and friends. Creating a warm and inviting space is a sweet way to ensure your guests are comfortable. Below are a few simple and classic ideas to spruce up your guest room and make your visitor feel cherished.

Flowers and Plants
Fresh flowers bring a clean and organic vibe to any space. Leave a bouquet of their favorite stems on the dresser. A pretty arrangement and pleasant smell is sure to add a nice touch.

Toiletries
There’s nothing worse than realizing you forgot to pack your toothpaste and toothbrush when you arrive to your destination. Keep some spare toiletries on hand including a toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, shampoo, conditioner, hair spray, and makeup wipes. We make our own slow cold-pressed soap and always keep a few extra bars in the guest bathroom for our friends to use and take back home with them.

Tray
A tray is a wonderful touch. Include a nice hand lotion, essential oil, candle, and sparkling water.

Blanket
It’s always a safe bet to keep a spare blanket, just in case your guests get cold. As a wool blanket company, we always have plenty of yellow wool blanket to go around! We always keep a cream wool blanket in the guest room closet.

Clean Towels
Provide clean bath towels, hand towels, and wash clothes in the bathroom and leave a few spare ones in their guest room.

Comfortable Bed
Nothing says “ahhh” after a long drive or flight then a comfortable bed that your guests can sink into and dream the night away. Fresh linens and fluffy pillows make all the difference.

Shades
This one may seem obvious, but adequate window shades truly make all the difference in a good night’s sleep. Whether you use black-out shades or plantation shutters, keeping the room dark allows your guests to wake up slow and on their terms.

There you have it! Simple and easy ways to make your guests feel special.
